Who Is Jesus?
We
believe that Jesus Christ is the hope for Humanity. That in his death
and resurrection there is forgiveness for our sin, healing and
restoration from brokenness, purpose for living today and hope for
our future. This is available and accessible to all who put their
trust in Him.
The
following passages from the Bible describe who Jesus is and how we
can know God
THE
ONLY WAY OF SALVATION
“For
God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that
whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”
John 3:16
It
is only in his gift we can truly understand the love of God
“This
is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.”
1 John 3:16a
“Jesus
answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one
comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
GOD
COME AS MAN
“In
the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word
was God He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were
made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was
life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in
the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:1 - 2
“The
Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his
glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father,
full of grace and truth.” John 1:14
“Christ
Jesus: Who,
being in very nature[a] God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own
advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very
nature[b] of
a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in
appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to
death— even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the
highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at
the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and
under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is
Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Phil 2:5b - 11
HOPE
OF HUMANITY
“If
you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your
heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it
is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and
it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. 11 As the
Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be
disgraced.” Romans
10:9-11 NLT
Please
take some time to consider what Jesus Christ means for you and your
family. Becoming a follower of Jesus is not about becoming
'religious', but about starting a relationship with the God of heaven
who loves you. If you would like to accept Jesus into your life you
can reach out to him with this simple prayer. It is not the end of
the journey but only the end. Scripture tells us to “repent and
believe” (Mark 1:15) and that “all who call on the name of
the Lord will be saved” (Acts 2:21)
Lord
Jesus, I recognise I need you in my life, I need your forgiveness. I
need your strength. I don’t want to go on alone. I invite you
into my life to help me, change me, and make me the person God wants
me to be. Amen
